Senior engineers Grant Wilkinson, Julian Ramsay, and Cameron MacPherson lead the team of staff to deliver a full range of structural projects and services. Refer to their CV's below:

A high standard of documentation is provided by our experienced senior draughtsmen Jeremy McLean, Murray Walls and Bobby McConnell.

The team at Ruamoko Solutions has designed well over 1500 building projects with an aggregate construction cost of close to $2 billion. These buildings cover a vast range of building types from major public buildings, commercial and industrial buildings, residential buildings and sculptural installations.

Grant Wilkinson

BE (1st Class Hons) (Civil), FIPENZ (Structural, Civil), CPEng

Grant, previously a director, project director and manager of Holmes Consulting Group Ltd from 1987 to 2006 is a Fellow of the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand and a Chartered Professional Engineer. Grant is actively involved in the development of structural codes in New Zealand and overseas. He is a member of the Structural Advisory Panel to the Department of Building and Housing.

Grant is also passionate about arts and culture. He has an impressive art collection, and enjoys spending spare time in weekends with family and grandchildren.

Julian Ramsay

BE (1st Class Hons) (Civil), MIPENZ (Structural), CPEng

Julian has been a senior design engineer at Ruamoko Solutions since its inception in 2006 and prior to this was a structural design engineer for four years at Holmes Consulting Group in Christchurch. Over this time Julian has worked on a wide range of projects varying greatly in size, cost, and complexity. Projects include large entertainment facilities, commercial, office, residential, industrial, educational buildings, analysis, reports and strengthening of existing buildings.

Julian is also passionate about music, and plays guitar in a rock band most weekends, as well as surfing, mountainbiking and house DIY projects.

Cameron MacPherson

ME (Dist), BE (1st Class Hons) (Civil), MIPENZ (Structural), CPEng

Cameron has been a senior design engineer at Ruamoko Solutions since 2007 and prior to this was a structural design engineer for three years at Holmes Consulting Group in Christchurch and Queenstown from 2005 to 2007. Cameron has been involved in many projects including the structural and civil design of large commercial office and healthcare buildings and the analysis and strengthening design of existing structures.

Cameron is also a big sports and travel fan, and enjoys playing cricket in summer, and soccer in winter.

Chris Watson

BE (1st Class Hons) (Civil)

Chris has just completed his BE (Hons) degree, and is planning on returning to the University of Canterbury in 2011 to complete a PhD in seismic design of multi-storey timber structures.

Chris plays senior rugby for Kaiapoi, and also regularly enjoys fly fishing at Canterbury's high-country lakes.

 

Jeremy McLean

Senior Structural Draughtsman

Jeremy has extensive experience as a senior stuctural draughtsman in Christchurch, having worked on notable buildings such as C1 tower, Eastgate Mall, and Park Terrace Apartments prior to joining Ruamoko Solutions.

Jeremys weekend time is spent mountain biking, trailbiking, snowboarding, and he has a keen interest in building and flying model aeroplanes.

 

  

Bobby McConnell

Senior Structural Draughtsman

Bobby has a wide range of experience, ranging from structural steel shop drawing, working for contractors and fabricators, as well as for leading structural engineering consultants around New Zealand.

Bobby has a keen interest in competitive boxing, and also plays cricket for a local team.

 

Bridget Helean

Administration/Reception

Bridget heads up the administration and is the face of the Ruamoko office.

Bridget is actively involved in dancing which she teaches regularly, and is also involved in musical theatre.
